The Review:

From is the spiritual successor to Lost that we’ve been waiting for. Now in its third season (2024-2026), the mystery of the town that traps travelers has only deepened. It is a show built on “Atmosphere.” The forest that surrounds the town feels like a sentient entity, and the monsters that come out at night are genuinely terrifying—not because of CGI, but because of their unsettling, human-like grins.

The production design uses a “decaying Americana” aesthetic. Everything is slightly off—the diner that still serves food, the houses that don’t have wires in the walls, the radio that only plays static. It’s a surrealist horror story that understands that the greatest fear is the unknown. Harold Perrineau gives a powerhouse performance as Boyd, a man trying to maintain order in a world that has completely abandoned the laws of physics. It is the best horror show you aren’t watching yet.
